THE RESIDENCY

YOUR HOST
Seun Runsewe.
FOUNDER AND CEO SBK
Seun is a product person who became a banker who became a security architect. In that order. Most people in this room came at it the other way around, which is part of why she is leading it.
She joined Paystack early, before Stripe came in. She built Switch by Sterling Bank from a blank page and ran it as Africa's youngest banking CEO at twenty-eight. She led product at OPay through the years it became a category. She moved to Chipper Cash to work on cross-border infrastructure. Then she went and got her MSc in Cybersecurity at Chester, came back and advised the CBN on a national framework for cybersecurity in financial systems. That advice has morphed into much of what you have to comply by June 10th.
Vogue called her one of the women at the forefront of West Africa's tech boom in 2021. She would prefer you knew her for the work in front of her now, which is making sure forty Nigerian banks are ready by June 10.
